Artistic Biography

Elizabet Borrego is a cuban fire artist, flow dancer, stilts walker and musician whose career started early in the musical scene as a soprano singer and not only has been part of different mixed and female choirs in La Habana, Cuba such as Ensemble Vocal Luna, National Choir of Cuba, Entrevoces but also Rock & Roll and Funk bands, like Habalama, Erick John and Cimafunk. Performing in Basilica de San Francisco de Asis, Festivals Havana World Music, Eyeife Festival, Fabrica de Arte Cubano, and many other important concerts halls in La Havana. She moved to Europe to study circus arts in Paris and her artistique and performatique life started to fuse and transforming with flow arts specializing in Pois and Dragon staff. Her work mixes contemporary dance and butoh with circus elements and theatrical characters, generating a unique stage language: visual, visceral, and deeply emotional.

Passionate about connecting with the audience, she uses fire as an ancestral element to tell stories, awaken sensations, and transform space through movement. Each of her performances seeks to create an immersive, powerful, and unforgettable experience, elevating any event with energy, presence, and magic.

She is the co-creator of the Project Stellium, alongside with Tomás Garcia, doing Soundbath live music and fire performance in private events.

Together with her partner, Krystian Kowalowsky (Dr. Lumenko), she also co-founded Duo Elixyr and became part of ''Aeion Performance'', a professional Fire & Luminary Arts collective based in Barcelona, Spain through which they have performed and traveled across different countries, appearing at festivals and juggling conventions such as Fusion Festival, Babalunya, Magma Convention, Cuac Convention, and Sol Obscura Festival.

Elizabet has also collaborated and still works with circus companies in Paris, including Hanabi Circus, Tewhoola, Surprise Carrée, and Luminescence.
